Creative Vitality

What is Creative Vitality?

Creative Vitality is a way of being in the world in which we are resilient, creative and fulfilled as well as balanced in mind, body, and spirit.

Creative Vitality helps you become healthier and more vibrant at any age. You’ll feel strong, centered and in balance by learning to pay attention to your needs and by adopting simple but powerful practices that are life changing.

How Do I Achieve Creative Vitality?

Creative Vitality is learned and earned.  Creative Vitality is built on a set of three key daily practices - practices that can be tailored to your needs, routines and abilities.   These practices – conscious, mindful habits which lead to personal growth – are built on a strong foundation of eating and sleeping well.

Creative Vitality Practices

Centering practice – focuses attention and calms the mind – gives you a sense of being grounded and calm – 15-20 minutes a day

Aerobic practice – exercise that increases heartbeat – builds a “strong container”, more stamina and strength – 30 minutes five times a week

Creative practice – taps into your deep interests and talents – expands confidence, ability to express yourself authentically – 15-30 minutes a day

My Creative Vitality Training will:

  • Help you calm your mind and build stamina through exercise, simple relaxation, breathing and mindful movement.  You will  bring a new sense of balance and well-being to your life.
  • Change your relationship to food.  You’ll learn to choose the foods that are best for your body and enjoy  a way of eating that is tailored to your unique needs. If you change your food, you will change your life.
  • Help you connect to your innate creativity.  Research has shown that changes in the brain at midlife allow us to view the world in a more integrated and creative way.  Midlife is the time to manifest your deep interests and talents and to discover the artist within.

As noted psychiatrist and gerontologist Gene Cohen has said:  “Creativity doesn’t protect us from life, it helps us engage more fully in it and helps us develop the opportunities inherent in life’s challenges.”

If you develop Creative Vitality, you will have strength in reserve and be able to recover from stress and set-backs during challenging times – and live with gratitude and joy.
